The general public is hereby enjoin to ignore the empty ,unfounded and tissue weight publication making rounds against the Executive chairman of Aninri Local Government Hon. Prince Ugochukwu Nwanjoku causing havoc in Amankanu Ohofia Oduma Autonomous community.

The speculations of tension in Amankanu peddled to be orchestrated by the executive chairman is a deliberate falsehood , broad daylight fabrication and attack to good conscience. The fallacy of dethroning the former PG Mr. Okoro David is a blatant lies from the cocoon of hell. The former PG has completed his legitimate four years tenure and illegally foisted himself in office for unconstitutional there years in office which he accepted before Ndi Amankanu that he did so by deceit, cunny and in dubious manner, an act punishable by law . He pleaded publicly with government to forgive him for the act of perjury and unlawful impersonation, details in video crip of the event. The executive chairman is blessed by the grace of God and has never condescended so low to collect bribe to install any candidate as Igwe or PG and has never taught of doing so. Such rumour should be disregarded .It was masterminded by desperate power hawks who plan to hold sway in power against the choice of the people. The purported visit to the chairman was a congratulatory visit over his successful emergence as the new council chairman soon after the council election and nothing more pretentious. Recall,Amankanu community have heaved signs of relief when the government through the Ministry of Local Government, Ruler Development and Chieftaincy Affairs in conjunction with Aninri local government chairman intervened in the nine years le0adership tussle of the community following the Save Our Soul(SOS) letters sent to the government quarters including the local government for urgent intervention , stating lack of constituted authority and deprivation of social amenities thereto, killing and maiming of their youths, wanton and illegal sales of community land, widespread criminality, incessant clandestine meetings to wreak havoc on their perceived and imaginary detractors by the group ( purveyors of ala adimma) and mostly lack of government presence in the community for those wasted years of cold war. Meanwhile, government cannot fold hands and people will take laws into their hands. Government in responding to the SOS scheduled 20th July, 2025 to conduct fair hearing for the community and trace the cause (s) of the chaos. Government find out that the root causes includes but not limited to the following. -That the community has a gazetted constitution duly applied in the election of the President General. -That the PG has finished his fours years in office and illegally held sway in power for additional three years. The said PG Mr. David Okoro has publicly pleaded for leniency and pardon by the government and the community. That the community has no traditional ruler since the approval of the autonomous community in 2016. That chieftaincy tussle has been on over 9 years and the PG has been adamant which breeds uncontrollable pandemonium and breach of public peace against government laws. The rejection of the illegitimate town union executive led the government to dissolve the town union executive and appointed interim town union executive headed by Chief Comr.Ekpete Chidubem Sylvester that will conduct both igweship and town union elections within six months in line with the community's constitutional provisions as gazetted. The question begging for answers are where did the executive chairman of the local government impose any candidate on the community when no election was conducted. Does his effort to bring peace and unity to Amankanu community as the Chief Security Officer of the local government out of order? Those who are brewing crisis, where were they and what have they achieved all these nine years for the community. Please let join hands to maintain peace, unity and development for government will not be quiet when groups of people plots to unleash mayhem on the people. Those dragging the office of the executive are warned to desist from doing so or risk the consequences of such character assassination and abuse of his exalted office. It's advisable to join hands with the interim government executive to fix the community and not be driven by personal and selfish desires at the detriment the people. Under the government of Dr. Barr Peter Mbah, security of lives and properties is a major priority and nobody will breach public peace and go scot-free.
