JUSTIN; HON.IKE PHILIP ON THE RUN AS EFCC OPENS UP HIS CASE THE TRUTH BEHIND HIS IMPEACHMENT
ANINRI POLITICAL REALIGNMENTS: THE TRUTH BEHIND THE RISING HEAT – A STATEMENT BY RT. HON. DIR. SUNDAY OLISEMEKA, DGN
In recent weeks, the political atmosphere in Aninri Local Government Area has become charged with intense discourse, sharp realignments, and widespread public concern. As a key stakeholder and public servant, Rt. Hon. Director Sunday Olisemeka, DGN – the Majority Leader of the 11th Aninri Legislative Assembly, an award-winning Nollywood film director, and a widely profiled community leader – find it necessary to clarify the unfolding events, especially surrounding the controversial leadership structure of the Aninri Legislative Council.
THE RISE OF RT. HON. IKECHUKWU PHILIP: A CONTROVERSIAL JOURNEY
Rt. Hon. Ikechukwu Philip has been actively involved in Aninri politics for over three years. He rose to public prominence after securing the councillorship seat for his ward, Ndeabor. His early success was largely influenced by the support of Hon. Ugochukwu Nwanjoku, who, at the time, served as the Special Personal Assistant to Hon. Benneth Ajah, the then Executive Chairman of Aninri LGA.
Following this support, Ike Philip was appointed Leader of the 10th Assembly of Aninri – a decision many viewed as strategic. However, eyebrows were raised when he once again emerged as the Leader of the 11th Assembly, despite the presence of highly qualified, experienced, and visionary young men within the council.
A HOUSE FULL OF PROMINENT YOUNG LEADERS
This current legislative house boasts some of the most distinguished and capable individuals ever seen in Aninri politics:
- Rt. Hon. Sunday Olisemeka, DGN, a nationally recognized film director and CEO of Cinemedia Film Academy and CEO APPLETV Africa and Apple radio Africa .
- Rt. Hon. Matthew K, former Majority Leader of the 10th Assembly and a respected grassroots mobilizer and a knight in Catholic Church .
- Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ajah, CEO of A4 Logistics and Clothing, a man with expansive youth support.
- Hon. Amos Orji, a widely respected figure with deep influence across his ward.
The question on the lips of every politically aware citizen has been: How did Ike Philip, with all due respect, a man perceived by many as lacking the capacity and pedigree to lead such a powerful assembly, emerge as Leader once again?
THE UNVEILING: A MATTER OF POLITICAL PATRONAGE
The answer lies in political maneuvering. It is now clear that the current Executive Chairman of Aninri Local Government played a decisive role in ensuring Ike Philip's reemergence. Their personal closeness and political alignment heavily influenced the outcome, merit, experience, and the democratic expectations of the people.
As the saying goes, "The breeze has blown, and the anus of the fowl has been exposed." The once-hidden strings behind the leader of the Aninri Legislative House have Philip ikechukwu now been revealed to the people.
A CALL FOR ACCOUNTABILITY AND VISIONARY LEADERSHIP
This unfolding drama is not merely about individual ambition – it is about the future of Aninri. We must ask ourselves: What kind of leadership do we want for our people? Do we value Betrayal over competence and loyalty ? Are we building a sustainable political culture based on equity, justice, and performance? Which our present Aninri chairman is doing by being great peace in Aninri .
It is high time we recalibrate our political values. Aninri is blessed with brilliant minds, one of the most vibrant and intelligent chairman ever in the history of this local government within the space of 5 months he has broken all the records set by his predecessors and have started setting new records Hon.prince Ugochukwu Nwanjoku ,committed youths, and experienced leaders who are ready to move the LGA forward. We cannot afford to mortgage our collective future on the altar of political setup where someone just woke up one day and start bitting the hands that fed him and started embezzling the funds meant for the public and the masses he is supposed to protect.
Let the people of Aninri be guided. Let truth, fairness, and capacity lead the way.
Signed,
Rt. Hon. Dir. Sunday Olisemeka, DGN

"LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS OVER PERSONAL INTERESTS: A STAND FOR ACCOUNTABILITY IN ANINRI 11TH ASSEMBLY
In the realm of governance, the primacy of legislative duties and the integrity of representation must never be compromised for personal gain. It is, therefore, imperative to correct a prevailing narrative that seeks to divert attention from the core issue: this matter concerns legislative affairs, not the office of the chairman.
A leader fails in his mandate when he prioritizes personal interests over the collective welfare of the councilors he was elected to serve. Worse still is when such a leader selectively assembles a clique—a cabal—intent on subverting the very government they swore to uphold and protect.
The current state of affairs under this particular leader has degenerated into a situation marred by gross financial misconduct, blatant acts of dishonesty, and alarming breaches of trust. This leader has, on multiple occasions, embezzled funds that rightfully belong to the legislators. It is disheartening that someone entrusted with such a sacred duty would stoop so low as to perjure himself in a cubicle just to falsely testify against a colleague.
His tenure has been riddled with scandal and shame. He has consistently exhibited a lack of accountability and moral rectitude. Notably, he was caught red-handed stealing iron rods and solar panels intended for infrastructural development within the local government. Moreover, he diverted and embezzled the ₦500,000 security allowance allocated to each councilor during a previous administration at a time when the threat of insurgency loomed large.
Given these serious breaches, it is both misleading and dishonest for him to claim that his removal from office was orchestrated by the chairman. The truth remains that the 11th Assembly, from inception, never desired his continuation as leader. In fact, during our inauguration, it was at the chairman’s personal appeal—based on misplaced trust—that we allowed him to retain the leadership position. However, we, the legislators of Aninri, are too educated, experienced, and enlightened to continue tolerating incompetence at the helm of our legislative affairs.
As a matter of personal integrity, I am currently pursuing a case against him with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and I have only just returned from an engagement with the Department of State Services (DSS). I am not intimidated by anyone. I am standing for what is right. My rights cannot be trampled upon without consequence, and I assure you—this is far from over.
The legislature must remain a beacon of accountability, and as a servant of the people, I will continue to fight against corruption, injustice, and betrayal within our ranks.
